Previously, you could only manage and work on goals recommended by Mathison based on your Equity Index results. However, based on valuable customer feedback, we understand that your organization's DEI efforts may extend beyond the goals we recommend. With Custom Goals, you now have the flexibility to add your own unique initiatives to your Action Plan, ensuring that all your DEI objectives are seamlessly managed within the Mathison platform.

So, why is this feature so valuable? Let's explore a few key scenarios where Custom Goals can make a significant impact:

  1. Expanding Your DEI Horizon: Sometimes, your organization may have specific initiatives that fall outside the DEI goals we recommend. With Custom Goals, you can now easily integrate and prioritize these additional objectives within the Mathison platform. Seamlessly manage all your DEI initiatives in one place, fostering a cohesive approach towards building an inclusive workplace culture.
  1. New Employer Partners: For new Employer Partners who have existing goals and initiatives, Custom Goals offer a perfect starting point. You can immediately begin managing and tracking your DEI efforts within the Mathison platform, even before taking the Equity Index assessment. It's an ideal solution to kickstart your journey towards a more equitable and inclusive organization.
  1. Addressing Mandated Goals: Some goals and initiatives may be mandated by external factors, falling outside the scope of the goals provided by Mathison. Custom Goals allow you to incorporate and manage these specific objectives, ensuring comprehensive DEI management within a single platform.

Now, let's address some quick Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) regarding Custom Goals:

  • Goal Prioritization: When a Custom Goal is created, it will be added to the bottom of your Action Plan list. You have full control over prioritizing your goals by using the custom sort mode, allowing you to easily drag and drop goals to reorder them based on your organization's specific needs.
  • Creating Custom Goals: Anyone with permissions to edit a goal can also create a Custom Goal. This empowers your team to collaborate and contribute to your organization's DEI journey, fostering a sense of ownership and engagement.
  • Unlimited Goal Creation: There is no limit to the number of Custom Goals you can create. This flexibility ensures that you can capture and manage all your unique DEI initiatives effectively.
  • Resource Availability: It's important to note that resources such as toolkits and how-to guides from the Knowledge Center will not populate for Custom Goals, as they do for goals provided by Mathison.   • Equity Index Score: Custom Goals do not impact your Equity Index score. The answers to the Equity Index assessment are the sole determinants of your score, ensuring accurate measurement of your organization's DEI progress.
